King of Bluegrass DVD in stores on January 20th.
Soundtrack to follow

King of Bluegrass: The Life and Times of Jimmy Martin DVD will be released in stores on January 20th. It should be available at your local Borders, Tower Records, Barnes and Noble Ernest Tubb Record Stores, as well as many mail order and online catalogs.

The DVD has recently been reviewed Sing Out! Magazine, No Depression, Bluegrass Now, Country Music People, CMT.com, and others. Many more are on the way.

Next up-the soundtrack. We are close to finishing a soundtrack that will be released on CD in late March or early April. This CD is going to be packed with never released live material from Jimmy’s heyday with Paul Williams and JD Crowe. To be included are recordings from the Sunset Park, New River Ranch, and the Louisiana Hayride. There will also be live and unique recordings from the making of the film.

Here’s a link to a story about the DVD and Soundtrack on CMT.com.

The soundtrack will be released by Thrill Jockey Records, who is also the primary distributor for the DVD.
