King of Bluegrass Wins Award at Sidewalk

King of Bluegrass was given the Special Jury Award for Documentary Achievement at the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival.

For folks who like to go to film festivals, this one was an amazing time. Lots of great filmmakers, genuine people, and great parties. Highly recommended!

The screenings at Bear’s Place in Bloomington, IN were a great success. Tons of friends and bluegrass fans. After the second screening the Not Too Bad Bluegrass Band played an awesome set, peppered with Jimmy Martin classics, including Home Run Man.

The screenings were sponsored by WFHB Community Radio in Bloomington. The station’s Programming Director, Jim Manion, has been one of the film’s strongest supporters. WFHB is an amazing station and if you ever roll into the Bloomington area, tune into 91.3 FM or 98.1 FM. Thanks Jim!

Next stop, Louisville!
